Fall Photos on Twin Cities Live!

Yesterday, Melissa appeared on what may be her 8th or 9th time on Twin Cities Live (we have lost count!).  We love the gang at Twin Cities Live and have met some great people who work on the show or who are guests (yesterday Melissa got to meet the Cat Fanciers!!). So when we get asked to do a segment on the show, we are always happy to do so! This time, the topic was Fall Photos and how you can use the beautiful fall color palette to help enhance your family photos.  Melissa shared some techniques to make your pictures really stand out and she also shared some of her family's traditions each fall. Sweet Honey and Jenny!

Jenny was one of our 2012 ZOOM Campers and we were delighted to get to know her bubbly personality and kind heart.  And of course we knew we had an instant connection when we found out last year that her family had adopted a Frenchie puppy who they named Honey!!  Honey and Jenny came in for their photo session this summer-not sure who enjoyed it more: Jenny, Honey or Melissa!! Honey was a dream to photograph and Jenny was as stunning as ever!  The result was images they will cherish forever (not to mention the BEST Christmas cards ever!!).

It's been a whirlwind summer at Miroslavich Photography!!  In addition to the many fabulous and fun photo sessions we had, we decided to move the studio to a brand new, awesome, super cool, BIGGER space in Woodbury! To celebrate (because we are always looking for reasons to celebrate) and show off our new digs, we are having a PARTY!! 

Please join us on Thursday October 4th from 6:30pm-8pm at our new studio- 700 Commerce Drive Suite 100 in Woodbury, Minnesota for an evening of fun!  We will have music, wine, desserts as well prizes and new products!  AND, we are super excited to have just added a Photobooth to the evening's festivities!  How cool will that be???

Leo!

Lovely Leo!  We were thrilled when Leo's owner, Mary, contacted us as a referral from another client (remember sweet Annie?  We blogged on Anne back in February- http://miroslavichphotography.blogspot.com/2012/02/adoring-annie.html ) who Mary is friends with.  We loved getting to know Leo-a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel.  Such a good boy who truly has eyes only for his momma, Mary. Leo enjoyed himself so much and relaxed enough to even seem to fall asleep at one point during the session.  How cute is that? 

A morning in Afton.....

You probably recognize this growing family from past blogs as they are rock stars around the studio-we have been photographing them and capturing sweet moments like these since Sam (who is now a big boy at age 5!) was a tiny baby!! We adore them and love that they have now grown into a family of 5 with three adorable boys!! This session was about Sam turning 5 and middle brother, Ben, turning 2.  We decided to head out to the quaint little town of Afton, Minnesota to explore the town and all of the cool things there.  As you can see there was lots to discover! Cool doors, fences,  trees, stores (there was even a wine bar but since it was still only morning, we passed by without stopping!).  Afton was the perfect place for brothers to have fun!  Love seeing their relationships with each other and excited to see how Baby Gabe will fit into this mix as he gets older!!! 

Dog vs Cat - Who gets your vote?

This past summer, we were honored to be asked by the Animal Humane Society to photograph their Fall Campaign-which, of course, had an "election" spin because of the upcoming presidential elections this November.  "Vote to Adopt" Campaign was very well received and it was exciting for us to see it on local billboards, city buses and in magazines.  We had a blast photographing it-and coming up with "presidential" props and settings.  So, if you had to vote....Dog or Cat?  We want to know!!

2398 measurements and counting....

After countless measurements, nail hammering, packing/unpacking,  furniture arranging (and re-arranging), and organzing, we are READY!!!  Ready to open for business next Tuesday September 11th! We cannot wait for everyone to visit and see our brand new space-it is spectacular!  While we have many sessions scheduled over the next few weeks, our Grand Opening Celebration is set for Thursday October 4 from 6:30pm-8pm so mark your calendars and make it a date! 
(P.S. many thanks to everyone who helped us with the move and set up-especially Melissa's hubby, Jeff, and Melissa's dad, Pat, who poured their blood, sweat and tears (okay, maybe not that much!) into helping with lifting, carrying, measuring and hanging at the new studio! The good news is, everyone is still talking to each other and no major injuries!!  Success!!)

Taylor- Class of 2013

We just had to post another awesome high school senior session from this past summer!  Taylor started his senior year at East Ridge High School this week and we are sure he will have a great senior year!  Look at that awesome smile-you can just tell he is ready for a fantastic year!  We loved getting to know Taylor's quiet personality and seeing what a mature, fun loving teenager he is! He put up with all of our craziness during the session and I don't think he minded a bit!!  Good luck this year, Taylor! We can't wait to hear what adventures you choose after high school!
