Happy Blog-cation to us!!!

We are taking a little summer "blog-cation" to get caught up on work at the studio, sessions and spend a little time with our families while it is still summer! Check back on the blog in a couple of weeks for some super cool blog entries on recent sessions: two really darling newborn sessions, a senior session, a few beautiful family sessions on location and much more! July has been a whirlwind so it will be nice to catch our breath and be back in a couple of weeks: relaxed, rejuvenated and refreshed and ready for the last weeks of summer! Enjoy!!

And Greta makes 3!

When we first met this lovely family 2 years ago, there was just Jack, who was 4, and his little sister, Olivia, who was just 2! We loved getting to know them and we created beautiful family and sibling portraits for their home. Fast forward 2 years, and we were delighted to learn that Jack and Olivia have a one year old sister, Greta! These 3 siblings are absolutely darling! What a session we had with them...that concluded with first birthday cake for Greta, whose first birthday was that same week! Greta devoured the cake...although she was kind enough to share with big brother and big sister. We are thrilled to have created new portraits of all three siblings to add to their wall of portraits in their home!

When this family walked into our studio for their family session, we could tell right away it was going to be an awesome day! Not only were they wearing the best, brightest colors, they all had huge smiles on-even grandma and grandpa who had to get up at the crack of dawn to drive to Saint Paul to be a part of the session! And we were so glad they did-their family images are so special and ones they will cherish forever! Capturing these brothers was also a blast-we have been photographing them since Jacob was just a little guy. We love watching them grow up together....and someday we will be capturing their senior portraits!

ReZoom Camper Photos!

We thought we would share with our blog readers a couple of recent images from one of our ReZoom Campers, Kate, who photographed fireworks during the Fourth of July! Great job! Our campers have each had a day shadowing Melissa recently and observing some great sessions, including one session with 17 month old adorable twin boys, a 7 day old newborn photo session that included 3 siblings, and an energetic session with 4 siblings ranging in age from 17 months-19 years old! What fun! The campers are all busy working on their summer projects for when we reconvene late in August to see what they have created! We will be sure to post more of their images then!!
