Sisters in Summertime

We had a lot of fun capturing images of these two pretty sisters on a perfect--but windy!-- summer day.  Though the balloons didn't always cooperate, the girls did a great job and their Mom was so happy with their lovely outdoor portraits. I could go on and on, but we'll let these beautiful summer images speak for themselves. : )

Blue eyed boy!

It started out as a 6 month old, blue eyed boy session. But Oliver was totally willing to "share" his time in the spotlight with his big brother and sisters!!  And what fun we had!!  2 year old sweet, loving Christopher adores his baby brother!! Free-spirited 7 year old Vivian had a blast being silly and funny with Melissa during the session and big sister, Isabelle, was definitely the "mother hen" of the group with her nurturing and sweet nature!  We adored their session and can't wait for Oliver's 1 year session this fall!!

Celebrating sisters!

We were so fortunate to meet this cute family recently after they were the winning recipient of our donated gift certificate at the Luther College Silent Auction! We love supporting education and schools! And we get to meet the best families!!

Sisters Brynn, 8, and Elise, 5, were a hoot to hang out with and photograph! Is there anything cuter than sisters?!?  They chatted Melissa up about everything girly-including dance, gymnastics, ballet, books and art! We wish they could have stayed all day!!  We loved watching the interaction between the sisters and the love and silliness that ensues!

Are you a Cat person or a Dog person?!?!

So- what are you?  A Cat person or a Dog person?!? The most recent issue of the Animal Humane Society's Animal Tracks magazine poses this important question with a double cover feature photographed by Melissa.  The author, Jeff Moravec set out to determine which species is preferred.  By giving each species its own super cute cover-it may lead the reader to have second thoughts to which one they do prefer!  Mission accomplished!  What do you think?  Click the link below to read the article (and see more of Melissa's images!) and then tell us- Dog person or Cat person?!? We are dying to know!

Summer Sun!!

On this super chilly November morning in Minnesota,  it is warms us up to look back at some of our summer sessions from this past summer.  It is also heartwarming to us to see such sweet siblings basking in the sun of a carefree summer day!  This cute trio are longtime friends of the studio so we were thrilled to capture them together this year.  As we kick off Thanksgiving week, we wish all of our blog readers and Miroslavich Photography family a very happy holiday!  We will be back blogging next week with some holiday gift ideas so check back then!!

Togetherness.

What is important to you?  When asked, most people will have some variation of family in their answer.    We couldn't agree more!  Capturing families is always special for us.  Having family portraits that document a time in a family's life is priceless.  Showing connections, relationships, feelings is what you remember when you look at your own family images.

This family is not only gorgeous *and super fun to photograph*  but we love how they all relate to each other!  Brother, sisters, mom, dad.  Fun, playful, silly, loving. (it is an added bonus that mom styled them all so fabulously!) It has been a couple of years since we have photographed them so it was cool to see how these siblings have all grown up and have fun together!  We know their family portraits hold a special place in their hearts and we hope they will cherish this as much as we loved creating it for them.

50 years of wedded bliss!!

There are some families we meet who hold a special place in our hearts- and this is one of those families!  In fact, sometimes we wish they would adopt Melissa and I!  We have photographed them over the years- grandparents, parents, granddaughters (and a dog!!).  We have captured high school senior sessions, puppy pics of sweet Brady and many more memories.  We are truly honored that they ask us to document these occasions and moments in their families' lives. This past summer was a super special occasion as Dick and Mary celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary! Wow! They asked us to come out to their beautiful home in Wisconsin to photograph the extended family on their property before they move into a new home this winter. Of course, coordinating 10 people's clothing can be a challenge but looked how spectacular they pulled it all together! We know this family portrait will have a fabulous spot in their new home on the mantle-we can't wait to see it displayed there!  Congratulations, Dick and Mary on 50 wonderful years together and for having such an amazing family! Here's to making many more memories in your new home!!  xo

Cousins!

What can be more fun and loving than cousins?  In our house, we have just come off three weeks with various cousins visiting from Canada and there was nothing more heartwarming as a parent than to see their kiddos interact, play, belly-laugh, be silly, loving and sweet with their cousins.  Especially when cousins do not get to see each other because of geographical distance!  This is the case with these four lovely girls!! Two sisters live here in Minnesota and two sisters live in Texas (can you tell who are sisters?!?!) So when the Texas sisters came up to Minnesota to spend part of their summer vacation with their cousins, it was only natural that a photo session was scheduled as a gift to their grandparents. The result?  Four super cute girls coordinated in the best outfits ever having a fabulous time in the studio with us while we captured the love between them!  BEST gift ever to grandma and grandpa!!!  We know these images are going to provide much joy and pleasure as they are displayed for years to come!!

Brown-eyed girls!!

These lovely sisters (who actually have brown eyes and hazel eyes respectively but I couldn't help the title of this blog-it just seemed to fit them!!) were as sweet as can be when they were at the studio!  Stella, who was nearly 3, and Mylee, who was nearly 4 months old, were a blast to be with!! Stella's bubbly personality and mothering instincts with Mylee lit up the studio!  And little Mylee-loved smiling and making funny faces!! What darling ages!!  We can't wait to see how much they have grown the next time we see them!!
