Hannah- Class of 2014

Just a flashback to one of last fall's high school senior sessions!  Hannah is a current high school senior getting ready to graduate this spring.  We love our high school seniors and the energy and excitement they bring to the studio! Hannah amazed us with her involvement in her school during her senior year and the commitments she had made to various activities!
We are in the midst of preparing for our Class of 2015 senior sessions- in fact, our first session is in a couple of weeks!!  We are also creating senior party invitations for all of our graduates.  Melissa loves designing these invites!

Emma - Class of 2014

Whew!  What a whirlwind month we have had at the studio meeting new high school seniors and re-connecting with a few of our now-senior clients!   We have had sessions with seniors all over the Twin Cities- St Paul Academy,  Hill Murray,  Cretin Derham, Sibley, East Ridge and Tartan!  We love the energy and enthusiasm these sessions bring to the studio!!  Emma is a senior whom met a couple of years ago with big brother Gabe ( http://miroslavichphotography.blogspot.com/2011/11/gabriel-class-of-2012.html) came for his senior portraits!  Emma came to the studio game for anything we suggested and ready with various outfit changes!  Big bro, Gabe, came with and even helped out with the session!  Love this pair!! Since then we have been lucky enough to meet and photograph some of Emma's senior pals from her high school and we couldn't be happier!!  Watch for many more senior blog posts this fall- and if you still haven't scheduled your senior session, it's not too late! Cousins!

What can be more fun and loving than cousins?  In our house, we have just come off three weeks with various cousins visiting from Canada and there was nothing more heartwarming as a parent than to see their kiddos interact, play, belly-laugh, be silly, loving and sweet with their cousins.  Especially when cousins do not get to see each other because of geographical distance!  This is the case with these four lovely girls!! Two sisters live here in Minnesota and two sisters live in Texas (can you tell who are sisters?!?!) So when the Texas sisters came up to Minnesota to spend part of their summer vacation with their cousins, it was only natural that a photo session was scheduled as a gift to their grandparents. The result?  Four super cute girls coordinated in the best outfits ever having a fabulous time in the studio with us while we captured the love between them!  BEST gift ever to grandma and grandpa!!!  We know these images are going to provide much joy and pleasure as they are displayed for years to come!!

PhotoStyled Fun!

An early summer morning, a fabulous family of 5 and perfect Minnesota weather (with no bugs!!).  Who could ask for anything more?!? Add to this combination two big brothers who simply adore and dote on their little sister and we had an awesome morning!! This family also was one of our Photostyled sessions which we launched last fall.  PhotoStyled sessions are for clients who want even more help in putting the finishing touches on clothing coordination and also for clients who "want it all"!  The cool thing is the styling process is still a completely collaborative experience.  We actually have two options for your styled portrait experience.  ClothingStyled provies additional help with clothing choices.  A stylist actually comes to your home and coordinates your family's outfits.  PhotoStyled takes this another step further marrying visual design with relationship photography to turn your session into a conceptual masterpiece (think magazine ad).  Not only do we provide a stylist for clothing design and extra help during your session (the stylist came to this family's session to help!), we also complete an in-home consultation to discuss unique portrait display options and ultimately hang your art for you while you ohh and ahh over your new art piece.  It's for when good enough, just isn't!

Oliver. Louie. Jinx. Gus.    These four win the prize for the four best behaved dogs together in our studio EVER. Not only are they the sweetest family of four legged friends, they were a pleasure to photograph.  Each with his own personality.  Gus as the smallest guy with a big personality .  Oliver as the big grandpa of the group (even though he is the second youngest of the group!) Louie was the one who was a little nervous at first but quickly warmed up and was so sweet.  And finally Jinx whose name certainly suits him.  We loved working with their "dad" Mike whose love for these four was very apparent!  Mike is the owner of a local pet store, Pet Evolution ( http://www.petevolution.com ) where Melissa has gotten to know over the past year or two.  Pet Evolution is a great spot to stock up on all of your pet needs!  If you are in the area, be sure to stop there Saturday May 11 from 1-5pm for their Customer Appreciation Day. You may even recognize some of the portraits on display in the store!!

Peyton and Chocolate

Peyton and her cat, Chocolate have a special relationship that we were privileged to capture in these images.  Truly, seeing them together warmed our hearts that morning in the studio!  Peyton, a third grader, came to the session with these super sweet outfits- how cute is the pink tutu dress and pigtails?!?  The sparkle in her eye was apparent the entire time she was there- what a shining star! We know her mom and dad are going to cherish these portraits for years to come!!!

Sparkle and shine!

We all could use a little more sparkle in our lives!  These three cuties had no idea that we had planned to use our very sparkly, very glittery, very fun background for their session so when they came in they were super excited to see such a festive studio!!  And their outfits couldn't have been better suited for this level of glam!! Adeline, Eli and Stella are siblings that always make us smile and we adore seeing them grow up before us! (stay tuned for Adeline's toothless session on the blog very soon!) While we enter another arctic plunge here in Minnesota this week, try to find some sparkle and shine to brighten up your days!!

Family love!

We created these beautiful images of this family earlier this year on a lovely summer day-not too early in the day as pre-teen/teen siblings don't tend to rise early in the summer months!! This brother and sister were very sweet to each other and we had fun with Abby in her cowboy hat!  Look at that style!! We love these images of them and are so happy they are thrilled with their new family portraits proudly displayed in their home for all to enjoy!!!

Carefree Summer days!

These cuties are kind of like rock stars on our blog as we have been photographing them since their oldest, Brennan, was a baby!! Brennan is now 6 1/2 years old and brother Davis is 4 1/2 years old and little sister Eleanor is a big girl who is 2 years old!!!  We can always count on their mom pulling their outfits together into something awesome and this session was no exception!  We love their energy, smiles and giggles- and being outside for this session was so fun! Watching these siblings run, dance, climb and explore is what summer is all about.  We are so happy to be a part of your lives!
