Carter-Class of 2014

It was very special for us to capture Carter's senior portraits! As a faithful reader of our blog, you may recall Carter's older brother, TJ, who came to us in 2012 for his senior session. (to refresh your memory, click on this link!  http://miroslavichphotography.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html ) Carter is just as charming and handsome as his older brother and we had such a fun time with this session! It was just at the end of hockey season-Carter plays for Totino Grace who made it to the Minnesota State hockey tournament this year- and we were able to catch one of the last days at one of our local outdoor rinks.  It is so meaningful when we can incorporate activities/sports that the seniors are passionate about in their life into their portraits!  We wish Carter all the best as he ventures off to the University of Missouri this fall! GO TIGERS!!

Taylor-Class of 2014

We still have many more awesome high school senior sessions to share with you from this past summer and fall!  Meet Taylor- a althletic, quiet high school senior we had the pleasure of meeting this past summer.  Getting to know Taylor, we learned of his love of tennis and hockey.  We couldn't resist incorporating some tennis into his session.  Taylor was a great sport and allowed us to use our creativity in his session.  In fact, we might even say that Taylor really enjoyed himself during the session!  (although we are sure he thinks we are complete goofballs!!)  Have a great senior year, Taylor!

PhotoStyled Fun!

An early summer morning, a fabulous family of 5 and perfect Minnesota weather (with no bugs!!).  Who could ask for anything more?!? Add to this combination two big brothers who simply adore and dote on their little sister and we had an awesome morning!! This family also was one of our Photostyled sessions which we launched last fall.  PhotoStyled sessions are for clients who want even more help in putting the finishing touches on clothing coordination and also for clients who "want it all"!  The cool thing is the styling process is still a completely collaborative experience.  We actually have two options for your styled portrait experience.  ClothingStyled provies additional help with clothing choices.  A stylist actually comes to your home and coordinates your family's outfits.  PhotoStyled takes this another step further marrying visual design with relationship photography to turn your session into a conceptual masterpiece (think magazine ad).  Not only do we provide a stylist for clothing design and extra help during your session (the stylist came to this family's session to help!), we also complete an in-home consultation to discuss unique portrait display options and ultimately hang your art for you while you ohh and ahh over your new art piece.  It's for when good enough, just isn't!

Fall Stories

Part of what makes our jobs so much fun is being able to capture moments in families' lives that tell their story.  Whether it is the addition of a new family member, a milestone like starting to walk,  a lost tooth, or the start of a new school year, every session has a story to be told.  This lovely family decided that a special birthday was the time for a new family portrait.  The perfect time.  So, on a bright fall day, we created these memories!  The result?  We captured a time in their lives when McKayla had her animal print hair extension, when Brady's grown up teeth had grown all the way in, when their hair was still sun-bleached and their skin still sun-kissed.  We captured the sweet brother-sister relationship and Brady's brotherly protectiveness. We captured their family spontaneity and fun spirit. We love that when they see these portraits in their home, they will remember these things and the stories that accompany them.  So thrilled that we can do this for you!

Molly-Class of 2013

This session is a bit of a flashback to last fall when we photographed sweet Molly for her senior portraits.  Molly is the youngest of three siblings-all of whom we have photographed senior portraits-and we have so enjoyed getting to know each one of them. Like most siblings, they each have their own unique personalities and have all chosen different paths post high school. However, they maintain a tight bond and we love hearing stories of how they are doing. We were super excited to photograph Molly and as you can see from these images, Molly is most definitely an outdoorsy gal who shines in these natural elements.  We are so thrilled to have captured Molly's true essence and we know that her senior portraits, along with her siblings, will be cherished for years to come! All the best, Molly!!

Kim - Class of 2013

We've said it before but I will say it again-we get to meet the BEST high school seniors every year!  These seniors have it all together and have so many talents, it always amazes us!  Kim is a high school senior who dazzled us with her personality and love of the arts.  Her vintage flair and passion for theater and literature was incorporated into her session which made it so uniquely Kim!  We know that  Kim is exploring her options for colleges for next fall and we cannot wait to see where she ends up!!  Congrats, Kim!!

Announcing upcoming Snow Sessions!

We are excited to announce our upcoming Miroslavich Photography Snow sessions...we are just missing one key ingredient. SNOW. However, we are in Minnesota and it is only a matter of time before we get a big dumping of snow, so no worries!

As soon as we do get snow, we are planning to have a day of snowy sessions! We have had so many requests from our clients for sessions in the snow, we thought we would finally do it this winter. We live in a cold weather climate-so many of us love all that winter has to offer. We all have memories of pond skating, skiing, snowman building, hockey, snow angels and who could forget hot cocoa? Embrace winter. Embrace the snow. Make memories. Let us help you preserve these memories.

We are offering a limited number of snow sessions (10 sessions maximum). We will take reservations on a first come-first serve basis. Date and location to be determined once we know we have a good snowfall in the forecast. Each session will be approximately 20 minutes. Session fee is $45 per family and due at the time of booking. We encourage fun hats, colorful scarves and silly mittens. Depending on the snow, we are aiming to have the snow sessions take place the week of Feb 6th.(fingers crossed!)

If the date we choose is not good for you once we schedule the date, your session fee is 100% refundable. We will have a wait list to call should we have openings.

Ordering sessions at the studio to view and order your images will be scheduled approximately one week following the snow session.

Call us at 651.343.4823 to reserve your spot for a snow session! In the meantime, do a little snow dance, pray to the snow Gods or do whatever it takes to get us some snow!!

Nate - Class of 2012

Really this blog entry should be entitled Nate the Great as we are a big fan of this high school senior! Nate came to us as a referral from another awesome senior at his high school. From the moment we met Nate (and his mom!) we knew it was going to be a fun session. Nate is a basketball fan and brought his collection of super cool sneakers to the session which we had to capture. In addition to that, Nate has a passion and talent for beatboxing which he also brought with him. Melissa and I were very intrigued to learn more!! It never ceases to amaze us how amazingly talented and interesting the seniors we get to meet! We so loved working with Nate-we know there are great things in your future, Nate, and we look forward to seeing what adventures await you.

Sisters.

There is something about sisters that is so sweet and precious. These two sisters are exactly that-big sister Lily is a little mother to little Violet. Seeing them interact and play during their session this past summer was too cute for words. Of course, coordinating sisters outfits is always so fun and their mom did a wonderful job with them. We are so pleased that their portraits are displayed so proudly in their home-and happy that we can share these images with their out of town family and friends through the blog! We hope they enjoy as much as we do!
