Border Collie Fun!

Roni is a 6 year old border collie with so much personality and spunk!  Her owner, Tom, contacted us awhile back to set up this session to capture Roni.   Tom has had all of his pets photographed around this same age and proudly displays them in his home. He knew that Roni is the "perfect" age for her portraits.  We couldn't agree more! She was darling and so well behaved!!  The result? Stunning portraits of Roni - and some lovely images of Tom and Roni together that are so heartwarming.  We can't wait to meet Tom's other dog, Sarge, once Sarge is ready for his photography debut!!  

Hannah- Class of 2014

Just a flashback to one of last fall's high school senior sessions!  Hannah is a current high school senior getting ready to graduate this spring.  We love our high school seniors and the energy and excitement they bring to the studio! Hannah amazed us with her involvement in her school during her senior year and the commitments she had made to various activities!
We are in the midst of preparing for our Class of 2015 senior sessions- in fact, our first session is in a couple of weeks!!  We are also creating senior party invitations for all of our graduates.  Melissa loves designing these invites!

Sweet kisses!!

Who wouldn't want to smother this little guy with kisses?!?!  We loved having Greyson to the studio for his 6 month portraits-and little did we know that not only was he sitting up on his own, but he was also crawling, pulling himself up on furniture and generally motoring around quite well!!  (let's just say, he has got great genes!!) We created the BEST VALENTINES CARD EVER for this sweet family to send out this year!
We can't wait to see what Greyson is doing when he comes back for his year old portraits this summer! (at this rate, he may be running marathons!!)

A little Jamaica on a cold day!!

On this cold wintery day in Minnesota, we thought everyone could use a little bit of "Jamaica" to warm them up!! Jamaica, our furry friend, that is!!  Jamaica warmed our hearts a few weeks ago when she and her owner, Mark, came to the studio for her very own photo session! Jamaica's older "brother", Parker (who is a bit of a rock star himself in the studio with his very own collage on display!) had his own photo session awhile back so now it was Jamaica's turn! All decked out with a gorgeous hot pink collar, Jamaica dazzled us during her session!!  Her portraits will now be added to Parker's portraits at home to make it complete.  Next up: Parker and Jamaica together someday soon!!!

Isaac is sitting up!!

Baby Isaac came back to us not long ago once he was sitting up like a big boy all on his own!  How sweet is he?  Of course, he brought his toy elephant with him to this session. Remember these adorable images from Isaac's newborn session? Click here:

The session wouldn't be complete without big brother John coming along, too!  Love these brothers!  We cannot wait to see Isaac at his one year old session later this year!  So fun to see this lovely family!!

Best of Woodbury 2014

Last week, we got all dressed up and had a night out on the town as we were invited to the Best of Woodbury Awards as Miroslavich Photography was nominated for Best Photographer.  Votes were cast by readers of the Woodbury Magazine last fall.  We were super thrilled to be nominated as the studio moved to Woodbury just over a year ago!  So, you can imagine our delight and excitement when it was announced that Miroslavich Photography WON!!!  Melissa hurried on stage to accept the award among many of our local business friends and acquaintances!  What an awesome evening!  Not only was it a huge honor to be awarded Best Photographer but to socialize and be in the presence of other amazing local businesses was such a pleasure!  Thank you to all of our clients, families and friends who voted us Best Photographer!  We are so fortunate to be a part of such an incredible community!!  THANK YOU!!!

New Year, New Families!

Every year we are fortunate to meet new families who come to us to capture their family portrait.  We were delighted to meet this family and get to know them this year!  Creating a stunning family portraits for their home was an honor for us!  We know they will cherish them for a long time! And we hope to see them again over the years to come....

Congratulations, Melissa!!

Miroslavich Photography has had a lot to celebrate lately!!  (Melissa is too humble to make it known herself so that is where I get to brag to the world!!)  Early in January, Melissa made the trip to Phoenix, Arizona (I know-it was super tough for her to leave the sub-zero frozen tundra of Minnesota to make it to warm, sunny Phoenix but she managed!!) for the annual Professional Photographers of America conference, ImagingUSA.  Not only was it a great trip for professional development and networking with other professional photographers (and attending a party or two!), Melissa had earned and received her Masters of Photography!!  She is pictured here with Krish Kiefer (her professional photography sponsor) and the president of the PPA, Ralph Romaguera. What an incredible accomplishment and honor for Melissa!! Hooray!!
In addition, Melissa also received a Bronze award for having all submitted images merit this year! What is a huge deal-and one that deserves its own blog! I will post the merited images on the blog in the next few weeks!!

Evan turned One!!!

What seems like so long ago (it was actually only a few short months ago but during the Polar Vortex we are currently experiencing, it seems like ages ago!!), we went to Evan's family's new home to photograph Evan for his first birthday and their family at their new residence.  It was the perfect fall day with the sun providing the best light!!  Evan had started walking since we had last seen him and was having a ball exploring his surroundings-which included his grandpa's vintage super cool red car!!  What a morning we had!! Big sister Halle had her horse out that day so we were able to capture some beautiful moments of them together!  We are looking forward to this spring when Evan and Halle welcome a new baby to their house!  Hooray!!

Tucker the Boston Terrier!!

Okay.  How ridiculously adorable is this pup?  He can stop being so darn cute already!!  Tucker the Boston Terrier was about 10 weeks old when he came into the studio for his modeling debut!!  Tucker is lucky enough to be a part of a wonderful family we have known at Miroslavich Photography for many years!! He is an awesome addition to their home and we can't wait to see him again when he is all grown up!
