Happy Holidays 2014, and Looking Ahead to 2015

We can’t say enough about how grateful we are for each and every one of you. It’s your families, your events and your smiles that make each day here at Miroslavich Photography unique and special.

One of those special days was working with Olivia, who was one of our favorites during 2014. She was charming, graceful and a joy to work with during this past year. We are so happy with how the session turned out, and wanted to share with all of you how proud we are of her, as well as the final portraits.

Again, thank you so much for a fantastic and successful 2014. We are especially beholden to each and every one of you for allowing us into personal moments of your own lives, and can’t wait to meet new friends and create exciting memories throughout 2015. We’ll be back in January with new content and features, so have an amazing, safe holiday and happy new year!

Blue eyed babe!!

This little cutie deserves a blog post all of his own!!  Gabe is the youngest of three sweet boys who have been coming to us since Sam (who is now almost 6!) was a newborn. But for this session, it was all about Gabe who had just turned 6 months old!! He has the same gorgeous smiles as his big brothers but has his own darling personality!! And look at those eyes!!  We love watching these boys grow big and can't wait to see what our next session holds in store!!

A gift to grandparents

We love when our clients contact us about a photo session for any reason but when the portraits are going to be a gift to someone in their lives, it makes it that much more special.  This is exactly the reason Ian's parents contacted us this summer to photograph Ian. Ian's grandparents live on the East Coast and as a result, do not get to see him frequently. Ian's parents decided that new portraits of Ian would be the ideal gift for them this year.  The grandparents are a big fan of black and white photography which we loved creating for them.  Ian is a teenager who is very into cross country running in high school so we were able to incorporate this passion into the session.  The result was images that truly reflected Ian's personality.  We are excited to hear how his grandparents react when they receive their gift from Ian's family soon!!

Friendship in Family

Not only is this family one of our long time clients, they also happen to be our "BFF family" here in Minnesota. When our family moved here almost 10 years ago from Canada, this family was the first family who befriended us and we knew right away that we would be lifelong friends. We have such fond memories of our kiddos when they were small, the addition of babies, birthdays, playdates and time together. Lisa and Steve and their three kids are a beautiful family-both inside and out. And these portraits certainly reflect that! We love that they have chosen us to capture their family as they grow up and become big kiddos....in fact, before we know it, we will be photographing Zach's high school senior portraits!!

Playful Parker!

Parker loved being photographed! (and we were equally loving photographing him!) We so enjoyed meeting Parker and his owner, Mark-what a pleasure! Parker is a gorgeous schnoodle with personality plus! We are so glad that Mark saw our display at Dog Days in St Paul and decided to bring Parker in for one of our Dog Days of March sessions. We are looking forward to photographing Parker again at the end of the summer for some "urban dog" images to compliment the stunning portrait now displayed in Mark's home. See you soon, Parker!

Cassell - the superstar!!

Before the Memorial Day long weekend begins, we had to post another precious Dog Days of March session for you all to enjoy! Meet Cassell-a stunningly beautiful golden retriever whom we met through our portrait display at Dog Days in St Paul (http://www.dogdaysinc.com/) Cassell used to walk into Dog Days for daycare and stop to gaze at one of our dog portraits on display. So when Cassell's owner, Debra heard about our March promotion, she knew she had to bring Cassell in for a portrait session of her own! During the session, Cassell was a charmer!! As soon as the couch came out, Cassell knew exactly what she needed to do and before we knew it, she was posing like a diva on the couch!! It was priceless-and one of our favorite images from her session! We are so excited to help Debra celebrate Cassell and have created amazing portraits for her to display in her home.

Happy Valentine's Day!

In honor of Valentine's Day today, we thought we would share with you our recent appearance on Twin Cities Live (KSTP-Channel 5) last Friday! Twin Cities Live asked us to be a part of their annual Valentine's Day Makeover by photographing the winner of their Valentine's Day giveaway. Santa Fe is FAB!

Santa Fe was amazing!I had the incredible opportunity to spend a week with a phenomenal photographer, Greg Heisler, at his Choice and Vision workshop. His images have graced the cover of Time more than 75 times! His experience and level of expertise photographing everyone from Bono to Arafat was enlightening to say the least. The workshop was a wonderful experience and I really enjoyed meeting the other 12 photographers whose experiences ranged from the Federal Reserve to the New Your Times … from Vermont to Seattle … and everything in between (literally). I can’t wait to bring new ideas to the studio. Here’s a sample of Santa Fe! What a beautiful part of New Mexico. I am happy to be back, but not too happy about the weather. Geez! When will it end!

End of the summer in the city....

This was one of our final family sessions of the summer (hard to believe!) And what a great family to end the summer with! They moved here from Cincinnati a couple of years ago and have settled into the community very well (Mom is PTA president already!) Abby and Grant are such wonderful brother and sister....and each has their own personality and style. How great is the cowboy hat image of Abby???? And Grant is quite the musician..we are so glad he brought his cello to the session (it inspired our current photo contest...more details to follow!)
We know that their extended family back home out east will be reading/viewing the blog and catching a glimpse of their loved ones here in Minnesota! Enjoy!

Belly Time

A little belly time and silly time. This little guy just loved giving mom's tummy (and baby) rasberries! It has been such a blast being a part of your family as it has grown over time. Can't wait to meet the new addition. Not long now!

He not only loves being silly with his mom, but is geniunely a 3 year old in mind, body and spirit. We love when he visits the studio every January! It brightens my day everytime.
