Peek a boo- Evan is (not quite!) Two!!

As this sibling pair gets ready for a brand new baby brother due any day now, they came into the studio recently to capture Evan at 18 months of age and his big sis, Halle, at 12 years old!  Evan is a guy who LOVES his diggers and tractors-so much so we thought having his big tractor at the session would be super fun!!  Evan was initially perplexed about how (and why?) his prized possession was at the studio- and maybe even a little worried it wouldn't make it home?!?!  Although capturing Evan and his interaction with the tractor was priceless!!  Big sister Halle is becoming such a lovely young lady and hammed it up for the camera but letting us place the crown on her head-because what 12 year old doesn't still want to be a princess?!?  We can't wait til Halle turns 13 this fall so we can plan a photo session just for her!!!  And that new sibling- stay tuned for newborn images on the blog very soon!! Happy First Birthday, dear Eleanor!!!!

You will probably recall Baby Eleanor from previous posts when she was a brand newborn (wide awake!!) and as a happy 6 month old! Well, now she is a year old and there is nothing stopping her!! Eleanor is absolutely darling and she definitely keeps up with her two older brothers, Brennan age 5 and Davis, age 3. Although being the only girl, Eleanor certainly has a sweet feminine side that we captured as well during this session. Mom needs to become our studio stylist as she always finds the BEST accessories and outfits. It has been such an honor for us to capture Brennan, Davis and Eleanor since they were all babies-and we are excited for the many more sessions with this lovely family in the years to come!

Rainy day giggles!!!

Sam, one of our recent Baby Collection grads, came into the studio soon after he turned 2 in April for this first session as a part of our Toddler Collection...and what a ball we had!! Not only is it so special for us to see kids like Sam whom we have been photographing since newborn, it is awesome that his parents have captured all of his ages/stages in portraits displayed in their home! We are going to have fun completing their wall of portraits over the next few years!

When Sam came in with his raincoat, we couldn't resist doing some chalk drawing on the chalkboard. Sam LOVED it!!! And very appropriate for an April birthday! Sam is such a sweetheart!!

This new designer piece is the Moxie which has become very popular this spring! Next time you are at the studio, ask to see it!! It rocks!!! Sam's parents have decided to have one each year of Sam during the Toddler Collection and display them together. How cool will that be?

This weekend, LKBC is hosting a very fun event! Come join "Stampin' Up" consultant Kristen Bryant as she helps your child make custom valentines in time for the special day. This creative mom from our community will provide all the materials and patience, you just provide the kids!

Sweet Azalea!

A beautiful name...Azalea! And it fits with this beautiful baby girl who just turned one last month! She and her parents and their dog, KiKi, came to us for this special occasion and we are thrilled to have created some stunning images for them to cherish this momumental transition to toddlerhood! Azalea and Kiki had fun playing in the studio and then we all headed outside to take advantage of a great fall day when the leaves had just started falling....it couldn't have been more ideal! Happy 1st Birthday, sweet Azalea!!!

Generations.....

Sam has been coming to us regularly since he was a brand newborn in the spring of 2007 and we love seeing him each time. So you can imagine how delighted we were when Sam's parents requested an extended family session with both sets of grandparents and auntie! This session was a gift from Sam's parents to all of the grandparents for Christmas...what a wonderful present! Sam's grandparents in Iowa are seeing these images for the first time on the blog so we hope they are as thrilled with them as the rest of the family is!

New Photo Contest....Music to My Ears!!

A recent photo session inspired our current photo contest! (Grant brought his cello to his session and impressed up immensely with his talent!) All you have to do is take pictures of anything you feel relates to music and write a couple of words about why it sounds good to your ears! Maybe it is your 2 year old "making music" with pots and pans or a recent rock concert you attended at First Avenue...you decide! Brothers Just Hanging Out!

Check out these two brothers!! Davis, 6 months old, and Brennan, 2 1/2 years, came in a few weeks ago for Davis' 6 month session! What a riot they are together! They must keep mom and dad in stitches all day. We captured some great images of them together in their cloth diapers which their parents started using when Davis was born. So great! It has been fun being a part of this growing family's life and we are excited for them to complete Davis' image box at his 12 month session this winter.

Toddler Fun!

Last week, we met Ella for the first time. 18 months old is such a delightful age and Ella is just precious! We had a great session with her and getting to know her was so much fun! For 18 months, Ella is very independent but certainly loved having her mom there (and getting some kisses in between her photographs being taken!) Ella is a huge animal lover...she even has her own goats! Can you believe that? Maybe at her next session with us, we can capture some time with some furry friends?

Belly Time

A little belly time and silly time. This little guy just loved giving mom's tummy (and baby) rasberries! It has been such a blast being a part of your family as it has grown over time. Can't wait to meet the new addition. Not long now!

He not only loves being silly with his mom, but is geniunely a 3 year old in mind, body and spirit. We love when he visits the studio every January! It brightens my day everytime.
