Blue eyed babe!!
This little cutie deserves a blog post all of his own!! Gabe is the youngest of three sweet boys who have been coming to us since Sam (who is now almost 6!) was a newborn. But for this session, it was all about Gabe who had just turned 6 months old!! He has the same gorgeous smiles as his big brothers but has his own darling personality!! And look at those eyes!! We love watching these boys grow big and can't wait to see what our next session holds in store!!

Sweet Baby Henrik
Before we take a "blog-cation" for the holidays, we thought we would end 2012 with sweet portraits of Baby Henrik who was born earlier this fall! What a handsome little baby boy!! We felt like we already knew Henrik's parents as we have photographed so many of their extended family over the years!! It was fabulous to meet the newest member of the family. Henrik's mom brought with a beautiful blanket from his room and we jumped at the chance to have it be part of the portraits we created. He was so content and snuggly with his blanket. Henrik is super sweet! There is so much happiness in celebrating new life. We are so excited to be a part of his as he grows, sits, babbles and walks and talks, capturing each amazing milestone. Enjoy your families this holiday as we enjoy ours! We will return to the blog in the new year and until then we wish everyone a happy and health holiday!

Baby Norah
Those of us with our own kids will recall that sweet baby stage when your baby started to respond to your facial expressions with big, wide smiles-beaming from ear to ear and sometimes even giggling out loud. Youi remember that stage before they could sit up on their own but could lift their head up and smile up at you? This was exactly the stage Baby Norah was in when she came into the studio for her portraits. Norah was 3 1/2 months old and could not stop smiling and laughing at us! We loved it!! It was fun dressing Norah up in the darling outfits Mom picked out (check out the "built in" shoes on her tights!!). Norah definitely is a pink girl!! Bows, headbands, flowers- she let us do it all!! She is becoming quite the girly-girl!!

Blue eyed babe!
Baby Liam was three months old when we photographed him for this session. How great is this age? The expressions are priceless-new smiles, grimaces, smirks and giggles. What could be better? It is hard to believe that he will be returning soon for his 6 month session in a few weeks. We are excited to see how much he has grown since this session and see him sitting on his own, interacting more and developing his own sweet little personality. See you soon, Baby Liam!!

First Day of School Fun!

Today was a special day at Miroslavich Photography-both Melissa and I both had our youngest kiddos start kindergarten which means we both have all our children in school full-time-a major milestone for us!! We thought we would share with you some of the images from the morning before school started. It was an exciting morning for everyone! Somewhat bittersweet for us as we no longer have preschoolers at home. However, the calm and quietness has been welcomed! Back to the studio tomorrow!!! We hope everyones' first days went fantastic!!

First Communion.
First experiences are always special so it was an honor for us to create portraits for Calista's family of Calista's recent First Communion. In particualar, Calista's mom knew she wanted a wall portrait to commemorate this occasion so she chose our Vintage designer piece to showcase Calista's portrait and it couldn't be more fitting. We are thrilled that we could help keep this wonderful memory special.

Family of 3!
Have we mentioned before how much we LOVE babies?!? Maybe just a couple of times, right? And what could be better than a newborn baby just days old? Meet Baby John who was 8 days old when we met him for the first time. His parents, Rick and Kim, were super relaxed and calm for having a baby just days before-we were impressed! Baby John was a star-he slept through almost the entire session (we are hoping his parents are that lucky with him through the night!) The result of this beautiful, peaceful session-darling newborn images that Rick and Kim will one day look back at and wonder where those newborn days went? It is a fleeting moment so it is so special to have these beautiful portraits to remember the quiet moments at 3am when they have soothed John back to sleep. We look forward to capturing John when he is sitting up by himself and all smiles-it will be here before you know it!!

Toothless smiles
Something special I do for each of my boys is have Melissa photograph them on their own when they have lost their front, top teeth. There is something so endearing about those toothless smiles-and before you know it, those big, gawky looking grown up teeth grow in and that toothless grin is gone forever (unless you play hockey and as a hockey mom, I hope that never happens around here!) Blake, my middle son, is almost 8 and has been anxiously awaiting these two teeth to fall out (it may have to do with the tooth fairy leaving a little more for the top front teeth!) As soon as it happened, he had his own session with Melissa where he got to choose his outfits and props (football uniform, pajamas and a stuffed animal). These images have joined his older brother's toothless images in a beautiful image box we keep in the family for all to marvel at! It is a special keepsake we will cherish forever (thanks Melissa!)

Sitting Pretty!
Baby Emerson (aka Emmy)came to us at the perfect age-6 months which may be one of our favorite ages/stages to photograph! And she couldn't have been more of a doll! Her expressions are priceless and we captured them all! It was hard for her parents to choose! Although they did decide on a collage for one of their walls which is going to look stunning! We can't wait to watch Emmy grow and see her sunny personality develop-what a superstar!

All tied up in a pretty bow!

The spring/summer of 2010 has certainly been the season of newborn babies for us at the studio! I can't remember when we photographed this many newborns within a few months! It has been so fun!
You may recall Jane's maternity images that we posted back in April-and how Jane might just win the award for the cutest pregnant mommy-to-be ever! Well, Baby Ellie arrived earlier this summer and we couldn't resist decking her out in a beautiful lavendar bow-to match her nursery! How sweet is she?!? Even though Ellie is their first, Jane and Garrett seemed like old pros with their newborn! So relaxed and laid back...we think they should have 10 kids! Ellie is a much loved baby as the first grandbaby on both sides...we know she is going to be spoiled with love and kisses and who could blame them?!?! Congratulations, Jane and Garrett! We can't wait to watch Ellie grow!

A morning in the meadow...
This session was one of our favorite family sessions so far this year! It was the perfect morning...warm sunlight, cool breeze and two happy boys (and their parents)! Who could ask for anything more?!? On top of that, Lewis had just turned 1 year old and was ready to motor (of course, he has been walking since before 10 months old so he is an old pro by now!) Big brother Franklin (who many of you will recognize since he has been appearing on our blog since he was a baby himself!) wasn't far behind and the two brothers loved exploring the meadow. It was very fun for us to see Franklin and Lewis interacting together and to witness their brotherly bond! You can tell there is lots of exploring together in their future.
