Spring Break Fun at Rolly Pollies!!

Spring Break is drawing to a close and many of us have run out of ideas of what to do with the kids! So, why not head over to Rolly Pollies this Friday April 4th from 9:30-1pm. Local Mompreneurs are hosting a boutique at Rolly Pollies! Parents are welcome to leave their children in the gym while they shop and network in the on-site boutique. Gym time is $5/child or $10/family (45 minute sessions starting every 15 mins. maximum of 30 kids in the gym at one time). We are excited to be one of the many vendors participating in this event. Other vendors include: Beadful Items, Snickerdoodle Stationery, Once Upon a Family, Lasting Impressions Design Inc., Julz Belts and many others!! Woodbury's newest kids' hair salon, Wild Child, will be there and is offering free haircuts for every participant!
It sounds like a great way to spend the last day of Spring Break!!

First Birthday Cake time!!!

I think we had as much fun as David and his mom at his 1st Birthday session! David certainly got into his cake! At first he was a little cautious and not sure what to think of this beautiful, big cake in front of him. However, after a few minutes of gently tasting it, he had it everywhere! He was even sitting on the cake by the end of the session! I can't wait to hear all about his 1st birthday party in a couple of weeks and what he does to that cake!
Before cake time we were able to capture some stunning portaits of David and his mom together. It was precious how lovingly he looks at her and I think this portrait says it all!

Tea for Two

After our little tea party, Lauren treated me to a real party and some special music complete with dancing! She is 5 and can really rock. Just a blast to photograph. We have known Lauren a long time and she never ceases to amaze me with her creativity. Each time she visits the studio she brings her suitcase of goodies and mom sits
back and we play. The games are more sohpisticated every time. She has grown so much in the past year! What a doll.

Sugar and Spice

and a yawn that's oh so nice! Olivia's first big outing was to our studio and she is a born star at just 8 days old. It's incredible to me just how small she is! Those teensy tiny fingers and toes are kissable. We made sure everything was cozy and warm for her and she slept the time away with a few yawns here and there, which makes me giggle. Her big brother is looking so much bigger now and is going to be a good little helper! Dad was wonderful holding Liv. I am excited for you to come in and see the rest of the portraits. She's adorable and so sweet, and you are blessed. Congratulations!

We've Moved

In honor of moving the studio, I had my oldest daughter (who is not quite 5) art direct the very first session to take place in the new studio. The following is her conception. She chose her outfit, hairstyle, the background, and the pose. Her younger sister was not quite willing to participate in the posing part. I am pretty sure she was inspired by pink AND one of her current favorite books "Fancy Nancy, Bonjour Butterfly". She highly recommends reading it!

We are so excited for everyone to come and visit the new studio! Mark your calendars for our Grand Opening Party on April 18 and 19, 2008. And if you can't wait until then give us a call. More details to come ...

I love my toes

(Not so) Little Willie has discovered his feet - how sweet! He curled his toes and held on, happy as can be. What a hoot! He's such a sweet little baby boy, and such a joy to have in the studio. I could not get over how big he has gotten in such a short period of time. It really goes fast. When Willie showed up at the studio in his adorable winter hat I just couldn't resist. I love hats, I do!

Just Hanging

Little Ben just keeps growing and growing. He's 9 months already, and he couldn't be any cuter! Makes me just want to kiss those cheeks. If you want a real treat, stop in at the Red Giraffe in Woodbury and check out his 3 month portrait. He truly has the best looking drool I have seen to date:)! His mom, dad, and brother are super duper proud.

What a Smile!

This little guy has the best smile of the year so far! What a fun time we had together. He has grown so much since his newborn session. Strong and such a laugh to be around, what a character. We will be excited to see him again when he is walking ... it will be a trip I am sure. We played a little with orange - a color I just love right now! He wore this shirt in honor of his dad. He is quite the hunter from what I understand.

Snow Day

In honor of a snowy day today, I thought I would share this image I created earlier this winter on a different snow day. I saw this one single tree in the middle of an off-ramp and thought it looked lonely and wise. It has probably seen it's fair share of MN nice and not-so-nice. No worries - I wasn't actually driving at the time!

Cousins

What a sweet sister and such a fun brother! These two make quite a team together. Now the family will have the portraits to show just how loving they are towards each other ... when they get into high school! Then we had the pleasure of their cousins joining us! Great to see these two boys again. They just keep growing and growing. Can't you just tell what a loving and sweet family this is?! They are such a pleasure to be around. The holidays must be a blast when all the kids are together!
