Tucker the Boston Terrier!!

Okay.  How ridiculously adorable is this pup?  He can stop being so darn cute already!!  Tucker the Boston Terrier was about 10 weeks old when he came into the studio for his modeling debut!!  Tucker is lucky enough to be a part of a wonderful family we have known at Miroslavich Photography for many years!! He is an awesome addition to their home and we can't wait to see him again when he is all grown up!

Congratulations to Mike Wallus!

We have know "Mr Wallus" for many years as he taught all of my kiddos when they were in kindergarten/1st grade.  He was definitely a favorite teacher!  Last year we were asked by Mike to photograph executive headshots of him.  We were pleased to do so!  In late December, the White house Press Office released an announcement naming Mike as the 2012 National Winner for Elementary Math Teaching in MN for the Presidential Award of Excellence in Mathematics and Sciene Teaching (PAEMST)!! Recipients are also invited to Washington, DC, for an awards ceremony and several days of educational and celebratory events, including visits with members of Congress and the Administration. 
WOW!!  Congratulations "Mr Wallus"on such an accomplishment and honor!  It was an honor for us to create headshots to be used for such a special occasion!

New Year Wishes!

Welcome back to the blog! Our first post of 2014! We are back in the studio and ready to take on 2014 and make it the best year yet!!  Fun and exciting sessions planned for January already and you can be sure we will share them with you here!  But first, we thought we would start the year off showcasing a beautiful family session from 2013.  Such a lovely, fun family whose siblings were happy to partake in this session despite their busy lives and schedules! As our families grow up and move on, there is still a tie to each other despite school, jobs, distances away.  Let's make 2014 an amazing year- and we hope these images remind us what is important in our lives!  Happy New Year!!

Merry Christmas 2013!!

Before we head off for a short "blog-cation", we wanted to end the year wishing our Miroslavich family of clients, friends and blog followers a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!! And also thank you for making 2013 such a wonderful year for us!  We are excited to return to the blog in January with new ideas, blogs, sessions, clients and stories to tell!

Survivor.

It was our privilege to photograph Connie earlier this year as she recovered from her breast cancer treatments.  Melissa has known Connie for years so it was very special for Melissa to capture Connie during this time in her journey.  These stunning images reflect Connie's strength, beauty, and courage.  We were honored that one of Melissa's images was selected for the cover of the latest issue of Minnesota Oncology.  This issue focuses on survivorship and features a story highlighting Connie's recent experience. Brandon - Class of 2014

Brandon came to us early this fall for senior portraits- we love his energy and enthusiasm for life!!  We had fun playing his music during the session, hearing some guitar solos and getting Brandon to show us his goofy side (see one of the images above!!)  We are sure Brandon is rockin' his senior year!! And we can't wait to hear where he ends up next year! Good luck, Brandon!!

Our Cyber Monday Promotion!!

We are getting into the "spirit" of Cyber Monday promotions and offering a special to those clients of Miroslavich Photography who have had a session in 2013 and are interested in gift portraits for holiday gifts this Christmas! Summer Sun!!

On this super chilly November morning in Minnesota,  it is warms us up to look back at some of our summer sessions from this past summer.  It is also heartwarming to us to see such sweet siblings basking in the sun of a carefree summer day!  This cute trio are longtime friends of the studio so we were thrilled to capture them together this year.  As we kick off Thanksgiving week, we wish all of our blog readers and Miroslavich Photography family a very happy holiday!  We will be back blogging next week with some holiday gift ideas so check back then!!

Thanksgiving First! 

    

Open your heart to someone this holiday season - and thanks for giving us the opportunity to open ours! We are so grateful for the opportunity to continue to have a business that creates such joy in the lives we touch.  Thanksgiving 2013 may be later in November this year but we love to honor this holiday by pausing to appreciate the significance of it.  

Our Thanks & Giving event started in 2009 with the purpose of giving the joy of photography to a family in need. Over the past four years, we have been humbled by the recipients of this gift. We created lasting memories of a family who lost their husband/father a few short months after we made portraits for them.  We photographed another family who was given the gift of senior portraits for their twin daughters who would not have been able to have them without it. This year we met two special kiddos who have been blessed with a wonderful home after a less than ideal start to their lives.  We are always amazed by each families' strength but we are also incredibly grateful for the thoughtfulness of the people who nominate them.  

This holiday season we are giving you the opportunity to give once again. If you are a client or friend, please join us by nominating someone in need. You know someone. You know someone who's experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, has someone in their family that is terminally ill or someone who is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who would cherish portraits of their loved ones this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a lifetime reminder of their family's spirit, love and beauty.
