Happy Halloween!!

It is only a few hours before trick or treating begins and we are all ready at our house (in fact, we have been ready for the last 3 days!)! I thought I would share photos (remember, Melissa is the photographer, I am the portrait consultant!!) of our carved pumpkins. You can tell that we have all boys in our house by the image of the "barfing" pumpkin!

A Brand New Baby Sister!

And baby makes five! Welcome to Baby Julia...the newest addition to this wonderful family! Let's just say that after two boys, there is now a lot of pink around this household! We have watched Ben and Henry grow up over the past few years and it is very special to see them with their new baby sister....how darling are they all together in this first image? We can't wait to capture Julia and her family over the next year and for many more years after that!! Congratulations!!!!

Loving Life!

This family makes you just want to smile! A daughter and 3 sons! What a crew! We have been lucky enough to capture this family over the past few years and it is amazing to watch them all grow! Coltra is the oldest and is so patient and loving with her younger brothers, Maxwell, Camden and Dominik. And all three of them look up to their older sister....it is very sweet. We love all of their energy, enthusiasm. sense of humor and zest for life! Thank you for letting us be a part of your family's life!

Fun Loving Siblings!

We love how natural and fun loving both Caden and Grace were for this session! The images totally reflect their sweet and enthusiastic personalities....and man, does Grace love her big brother or what?!?!? And Caden is so great with her! It was great to be able to get outside for some of this session...gotta love Grace's fall coat and hat! Does it come in grown up sizes????

A Day at the Pumpkin Patch!

Today we spent the day at a local pumpkin patch with friends. We took a break from the hectic pace of our everyday lives and enjoyed a great fall Minnesota day! My 7 year old son was in charge of photographing our outing (which included a lot of the grass or the sky that are not posted here) and I decided to post some of the results! We managed to come home with a few great pumpkins that we will carve this weekend!
It was a perfect fall day....everyone should get out this weekend and do something related to this great season! Before we know it, the snowflakes will be flying!

Six months old and LOVING it!!!

Six month olds are the BEST!! How great is it when you can go from crying your eyes out to laughing like crazy in a blink of an eye??? This is Olivia who you all might remember from her newborn session in March...(see previous blog entry dated March 11, 2008). Well, now she is 6 months old and full of personality and smiles...with the exception of one shortlived moment of tears! We love photographing this family and can't wait to see Olivia in the spring when she turns one!

A boy and his dog!

How cute are these two?!? This was a fantastic session that covered a wide spectrum...indoor, outdoor, dog, birthday cake! It was a big day for John, who recently turned one, and came in with his parents and dog, Molly, for his one year old session. He was a trooper! His big reward at the end was to devour a birthday cake which was the best part! At one point, he stood in the cake...and another time, he clawed through the cake like it was sand. Awesome!! The final image below is the Expressions, part of our designers series, of John enjoying his cake! Happy 1st Birthday, John!!!

Senior Year in Minnesota!

Meet Katelynn, a Woodbury senior who came to us just before school started to have her senior portraits. Katelynn and her family moved here a few years ago from the east coast....and Katelynn may return there for college after her senior year. Katelynn was so much fun ... she was up for anything! We love it when seniors bring something to their session that is special to them and for Katelynn that was her dance. It was great to capture beautiful images of Katelynn performing ballet. We also went outdoors for cool, urban images....loved that! Katelynn's brother and sister also joined part of the session....what a wonderful, warm family. We are excited for Katelynn to pick up her order soon....she will be anxious to start handing out her wallets! And we can't wait to see the Fusion hanging in their home for everyone to see!

A Stunning Fall Afternoon!

These beautiful images are from one of our favorite photo sessions ever! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect afternoon to capture Danielle riding. Stunning! Generations.....

Sam has been coming to us regularly since he was a brand newborn in the spring of 2007 and we love seeing him each time. So you can imagine how delighted we were when Sam's parents requested an extended family session with both sets of grandparents and auntie! This session was a gift from Sam's parents to all of the grandparents for Christmas...what a wonderful present! Sam's grandparents in Iowa are seeing these images for the first time on the blog so we hope they are as thrilled with them as the rest of the family is!
