Fall Stories

Part of what makes our jobs so much fun is being able to capture moments in families' lives that tell their story.  Whether it is the addition of a new family member, a milestone like starting to walk,  a lost tooth, or the start of a new school year, every session has a story to be told.  This lovely family decided that a special birthday was the time for a new family portrait.  The perfect time.  So, on a bright fall day, we created these memories!  The result?  We captured a time in their lives when McKayla had her animal print hair extension, when Brady's grown up teeth had grown all the way in, when their hair was still sun-bleached and their skin still sun-kissed.  We captured the sweet brother-sister relationship and Brady's brotherly protectiveness. We captured their family spontaneity and fun spirit. We love that when they see these portraits in their home, they will remember these things and the stories that accompany them.  So thrilled that we can do this for you!

Molly-Class of 2013

This session is a bit of a flashback to last fall when we photographed sweet Molly for her senior portraits.  Molly is the youngest of three siblings-all of whom we have photographed senior portraits-and we have so enjoyed getting to know each one of them. Like most siblings, they each have their own unique personalities and have all chosen different paths post high school. However, they maintain a tight bond and we love hearing stories of how they are doing. We were super excited to photograph Molly and as you can see from these images, Molly is most definitely an outdoorsy gal who shines in these natural elements.  We are so thrilled to have captured Molly's true essence and we know that her senior portraits, along with her siblings, will be cherished for years to come! Sparkle and shine!

We all could use a little more sparkle in our lives!  These three cuties had no idea that we had planned to use our very sparkly, very glittery, very fun background for their session so when they came in they were super excited to see such a festive studio!!  And their outfits couldn't have been better suited for this level of glam!! Adeline, Eli and Stella are siblings that always make us smile and we adore seeing them grow up before us! (stay tuned for Adeline's toothless session on the blog very soon!) While we enter another arctic plunge here in Minnesota this week, try to find some sparkle and shine to brighten up your days!!

Sisterly love!

When we look back at last fall, it seems like it was the season of sisters!!  We met many new sisters and saw some of our long time sister friends as well!  There is something special about these relationships-sweet and silly, loving and caring.  And these two sisters certainly have those characteristics.  Leah and Sophie are 6 and 4 and lit up our studio when they came in a few months ago.  Their giggles and stories kept us wishing that every morning started that way!  We know the portraits we created for their home will provide many years of pleasure happiness and pleasure. 

Family time in Saint Paul

Today in the Twin Cities, it is damp, rainy and dreary out. Not the kind of weather we like to have this time of year. Some nice fluffy white stuff is preferable to many of us right now.  However, I was glancing back at some of our 2012 sessions this morning and came across one of our faves.  Not only does the super great, summer weather make me smile but this family of 5 always brightens our day. These darling faces exude sunshine! Olivia, Mason and Lauren were such a pleasure to photograph and we really captured their personalities and relationships with each other- a real testament to their parents!!!  We know 2013 is going to be a great year for this family!

A brand new year!!

We wanted to start of 2013 with some images from a very precious session from just prior to the holidays.  This is Gordon, a beautiful greyhound friend of ours.  Before he was lovingly adopted, Gordon was a prize winning racer.  Stunning images of a dear dog.

2013 is going to be another great year for Miroslavich Photography. We are so excited for to share with you our plans for the year so stay tuned for new promotions, products and fun news!!  In the meantime, we will share with you on the blog more images from our fall sessions which include more seniors, families and plenty of pets!

Sweet Baby Henrik

Before we take a "blog-cation" for the holidays, we thought we would end 2012 with sweet portraits of Baby Henrik who was born earlier this fall!  What a handsome little baby boy!!  We felt like we already knew Henrik's parents as we have photographed so many of their extended family over the years!! It was fabulous to meet the newest member of the family. Henrik's mom brought with a beautiful blanket from his room and we jumped at the chance to have it be part of the portraits we created. He was so content and snuggly with his blanket. Henrik is super sweet! There is so much happiness in celebrating new life. We are so excited to be a part of his as he grows, sits, babbles and walks and talks, capturing each amazing milestone. Enjoy your families this holiday as we enjoy ours! We will return to the blog in the new year and until then we wish everyone a happy and health holiday!

All I want for Christmas....

Okay, so I couldn't resist!! These images of Lily without her two front teeth made me think of the classic Christmas song we have all sung at one point in our lives!! So fitting for this 6 year old who lost those two teeth earlier this year!! We love this milestone but like all other childhood stages, it, too is a fleeting moment!! Before you know it, that big empty space in their mouth will be sprouting those grown up teeth that seem too big for those little mouths!!  It is great that Lily and Violet's mom was able to have us capture this moment to cherish forever!!  These sisters are a hoot together and we love their smiles and giggles!!

We created these beautiful images of this family earlier this year on a lovely summer day-not too early in the day as pre-teen/teen siblings don't tend to rise early in the summer months!! This brother and sister were very sweet to each other and we had fun with Abby in her cowboy hat!  Look at that style!! We love these images of them and are so happy they are thrilled with their new family portraits proudly displayed in their home for all to enjoy!!!
